Concurrent Sessions- Materials Management I—Before the Test
The year 2012 brings a number of separate test administrations for the various components of the Texas Student Assessment program. Districts will receive multiple shipments of materials for each test administration, many of them overlapping. Participants learn what materials will be sent to them, how the materials will be packaged, when they will arrive, and how distribution quantities are determined. Tips are provided to help districts manage and organize the materials, including a demonstration of tools available on the Texas Assessment Management System Web site.

Materials Management II—After the Test
Due to the complexity and high-stakes nature of the Texas testing program and accountability at both the state and federal levels, it is more important than ever that districts return their materials for scoring promptly and accurately. Participants learn about the most common type of errors made, the consequences of those errors and how they affect test results, and how to prevent these errors from occurring in their own district.
